TNT (Territory of New Times) celebrated 15 years in 2010. In that year “the House of Bernarda Alba” was elected theatrical revelation event, a creation of TNT played by 8 illiterate gypsies women, and has also opened the show “dream of a Summer Night” performed by young gypsies at risk of social exclusion, wich is part of the Eruopean union project “MOVING”.
In 2012 tnt took part in a new European Project “CARAVAN PROJECT”, winner of the cultural programs of the EU in 2011. TNT represents Spain in this project with other partners from ten European countries.
TNT has become a beanchmark for theater investigation across the country. In 2008 TNT with Atalaya has won the National Theater Award “for the creation of an original exhibition space, production, theatrical training and reflection, the result of a long career”.
In 2003 the European Union included it in the programme EUROPEAN THEATER LABORATORIES AS CULTURAL INNOVATOR, and at the same time that included other four emblematic European centres with greater experience and prestige: Odin Teatret, Denmark -director: Eugenio Barba-,Grotowski Center, Poland, Theatre du Soleil -director: Ariane Mnouckine, París and TTB, Italy. Between 2007-2012, new theatrical research centres will join the programme: Teatro Potlach (Italy), Theaterlabor (Germany) and CPR (Wales).
Currently TNT has an agreement, besides the one they have with the European Union – through the Programa Cultura 2000- with the Junta de Andalucia, the Ministry for Culture, Seville town council and Hispalense University, and grant TNT as the first private centre for theatrical investigation in the country.
On October 17th, 2008, the International Theatrical Research Center TNT was inaugurated on a plot of 2500 m2 given by Seville town council.
